I ... entered the poem of life, whose purpose is ... simply to witness the beauties of the world, to discover the many forms that love can take. (Barabara Blackman in 'Glass After Glass')

Beltane Night 2011

All week he’s been full
of passion and play.
Tonight his back hurts.

I go out to see the moon
but it’s still a wet Spring —
she’s cloud-hidden again.

But I can write poems
in the fertile season,
warm offerings to Life.

  8. I like the lightness about this - taking what is and accepting it as perfect. The clouds for me acted as symbols of one choice you could have made - to be miserable - but you chose poetry instead, and we all know how good that makes us feel!! Poetry, one of the world's best lovers.
