of golden trees, calm water.

Even as I gaze,
in my country Spring bushfires
are spreading fast, and merging.

The Widow Dreams

My dreams come back now
telling colourful stories
that I remember, waking.

No dreams when you lived:
my mind too full of care.  Now:
dreams don’t bring you back to life.
