I ... entered the poem of life, whose purpose is ... simply to witness the beauties of the world, to discover the many forms that love can take. (Barabara Blackman in 'Glass After Glass')

Sevenling (I am the weed)

I am the weed you missed,
now grown to this tall, graceful tree
with three slender trunks from one root.

My feathery leaves, my pink seed-pods
and my long, stretching branches
rise high into the dusk sky.

I'm glad for my accidental life; aren't you?

    1. Hmmm, yes, badly placed to say the least! I am a great protector and encourager of rosemary bushes, for their own sakes and because it is my namesake and I choose to be a bit superstitious about that. However, I would love to have an avocado tree growing.
