  1. Although when it comes to poetry I am decided dilettante, I do know what I like, and I like this! In fact I 'like' and often love most of your poetry. It's also lovely to read that you are kind of meditating with Levi, an open-eyed meditation. ox

    1. The water dragons are quite shy; that's why we didn't dare move. (As for it, it was trying to be invisible by keeping still.)

    1. I made it ambiguous; could be a lover. It was really my son, who lives interstate. He and his family just left after a few days holidaying here, and afterwards I discovered his belt in the bathroom. I have heard a psychologist say that 'accidentally' leaving something behind signifies a desire to return.

    1. Alas, we don't have that until (sometimes) very late in the afternoon when things cool down a bit. But we make the most of it for those moments.

  13. So reminiscent of our Summers here in South East Spain, the cool porch after a hot day and watching lizards catching insects for supper.

    1. Ah. My late husband dreamed of taking me to Spain, which he fell in love with as a young man, but we never managed it. I am always pleased to learn anything about it.
