Birds

A crow called, once, unseen
messenger.

I saw white ibis flying,
wings

outstretched, spelling
protection.

And this morning
outside

a sweet chortling at first
light.

In these mountains, we recover
them.

  3. Many thanks to you too, Pearl. I'm glad everyone likes this one; I too thought I'd got it working well. :) (And I do like understatement, in anyone's writing.)
