I ... entered the poem of life, whose purpose is ... simply to witness the beauties of the world, to discover the many forms that love can take. (Barabara Blackman in 'Glass After Glass')

Lune Sequence for D

My favourite plant
grows new leaves,
dark green and glossy.

This plant I have had
many years;
never learned its name.

It was a present —
all I keep
of that dead friendship.

As for my false friend,
I’ll never
say her name again.

The plant is hardy.
I like it:
a tough survivor.

  1. I like this! Dead friendship but the plant represents life...there is life after a bad relationship.

  2. Glad you like it! Just had a look at your poems and I like them too. (Even if I did comment on the only one you didn't actually write. lol.)
